My Oblivion Char
So I finally decided on a character to play through Oblivion with. Like when playing Morrowind, it took me a while to decide on the right skill set so that I could power level and still get x5 multipliers on every attribute I wanted every level. I choose a stealth character because, well, I like jacking stuff. It's quite possibly the most fun part of the game. Here's the spread:
| Chuck Norris | ||
| Class: | *NINJA* | |
| Race: | Wood Elf | |
| BirthSign: | The Thief | |
| Major Attributes: | Strength, Agility | |
| Major Skills: | Marksman, Security, Sneak, Illusion, Blade, Light Armor, Alchemy | |
As I stated before, my sole quest in Oblivion is to get as rich as possible (must be the rich white guy syndrom) by jacking other peoples stuff. This character is good at that. Being a wood elf, all his skills for theivery and shooting stuff from far away (*crucial*) are already pretty decent.
For the most part, the particular skillset I chose allows me to jack the attributes I need with x5 multipliers every level by training minor skills in that particular attribute. The only one I have problems with is Agility. Why? Because I don't have any minor skills in agility (duh). I suppose I could have dropped sneak or security and went with another skill like alteration, but I wanted my character to be decently powerful low level, and all that magic stuff makes you gain levels faster.
The buzz around the forums is that the higher levels of Oblivion get kinda tough for thief like characters. I will post about my char whenever I get time to play him. Currently he is level 2 and I have gotten x5 multipliers for strength, endurance, and speed on my first level. I have the max strength multiplier for my next level, and I'm currently working on endurance. I haven't decided on my third attribute for this level yet. Probably intelligence since agility is out of the question. Spamming bind dagger with a 10 conjuration will give me the x5 I need in under 5 minutes.
