So I’m a liability
I almost broke my ankle today. I went out and played basketball with my department manager and some of the other folks here at Danger’s headquarters. It was all fun and good until I went up for a rebound and came down on some poor souls foot. I rolled my ankle hard to the inside, and I heard it crack as I landed. I wasn’t going to go to the hospital, but it eventually started hurting so bad that I couldn’t walk on it; so I knew that I at least needed crutches. One of my co workers drove me to Palo Alto general for an X-Ray. Luckily, the X-Ray came back negative on a fracture, and they gave me some crutches and an air cast.
Even more so, one of the engineering managers had wanted to introduce me in a department wide meeting today. Instead, he had to report that I was at the hospital getting an X-Ray. What a way to be introduced to the Engineering Department! I still blush every time I hobble by some sympathetic soul asking me what happened. I knew that I should have invested in some more supportive basketball shoes and worn them instead of my running shoes. Point noted, and quoted on my blog for future reference.
Not a terribly good week so far in the bodily injury category, but the weathers amazing =). Unfortunately this also puts a damper on my plans to hit the town this week. =(.

You are a walking example of Murphy’s Law just watching…waiting…hoping to happen. Man! Have a safe trip back…try not to hurt yourself on the plane or anything.
