4th Festivities
Holidays are evil. I get a four day break from all the hell that takes place here in ATL only to be greeted by it once again when I return. Ah well. C'est la vie.
I drove home on Saturday and went to see Superman Returns with Josh, Chel, and Schmooze. It was ok. For those of you who haven't seen it I wont ruin the ending. Just be aware that it sucks, like all comic movie endings suck. Anyway.
Sunday was a day of fun, fellowship, and free food. It reminded me of how much I miss my home church. I had alot of fun helping prepare the evening fellowship meal with all my church buddies. Later on that night I helped devour what I had prepared; and it was good. Josh and I are also the undisputed champions of grave yard horse shoes in our church now. Boo ya old doods.
Monday consisted of me experimenting with various forms of barbequed meat. Thanks to Cookie, Josh, and my Dad for helping out. We grilled ribs, chicken, and bratwurst; some of which turned out better than others. I had other parts of the family over and we chilled and got fat together. Rock on.
Tuesday was yet another day of really good free food. This time I went to Josh's family shindig (ah the benefits of friends). Two burgers and some of the best potatoe salad I have ever eaten later and I was ready to fall asleep beside the pool.
But then the reality of having to work today set in. So I went home and fell asleep around 9:00, only to be rudely awakened at 6:30am by my phone. I drove all 1.45 hours to work and here I am; ready to face the traffic during the drive back to the ghetto. Ah life. Can it get any better?
