Yey.

Ahh sweet intarweb.

We finally got reconnected here at the casa de pwnage. In turn, I actually get to do some work from home. This semester is going to be stupid hard. I have alot of really flippin cool projects, but the key word is alot. I have a bad feeling that most of my weekends will be spent holed up in my room working on either my multi-touch interaction research for my HCI class or my Network monitoring system I am designing as undergraduate research.

Everyone knows that management classes are easy. I needed something to offset the insanity of this semester, so I tried on an 8:00am MGT class. I caught flak from Chang for taking it:

Chang: you sir, are a bum
me: you sir
are ghey
Chang: i guess mgt2200 is there to make you feel better
and ‘ghey’ is something i made, mr copycat
me: riiiight
i totally remember not using that when I was in the 6th grade
and yes
mgt2200 is a free A

The final project in that class is a spreadsheet. W00t. It had better be easy. CS majors do not like 8:00am in teh morning.

Withdrawals

So apparently we are supposed to be getting internet today.  I am suffering from internet withdrawals since the only place I can get online is here at the TSRB.  Ugh.  That’s another reason why I’m so behind on everything.  I promise I’ll write a real post, with updates and links and stuff, after I get internet at my apartment.  Until then, deal.  =P

Welcome Back

I’m back at school now.  I’m actually sitting in Lorenzo’s office whilst I try and track down my keys (I’m so organized).  The new apartment is cool, the classes are good, and hopefully everything will work out this semester.  I’m going to be really busy though.  I’ll post more later, I’m kinda in a hurry right now ;).

A Short Siesta

Friday of last week was my last day working for my friends at the law firm.  So I have about a week and a half to play catch up on all the other work I have fallen behind on.  I’m planning only one or two blog posts this week, and maybe one next week as well.  I am really glad that I do have this week to rest and relax a bit whilst I catch up on summer research.

The 2NT4OT has proven to be quite a challenge.  I missed a day last week and forced myself to catch back up the following day.  I am really enjoying this little project, and I believe that I am growing through it as well. As you can see to your right, there should be a little section on the blog with a link to a Google Calendar that I have made.  This little calendar can be used to see the current progress of all the people on the project.

Feel free to leave encouraging comments on that calendar, and if you are reading with the rest of us please comment with your progress.  Its encouraging to see other people post!

Heaven has Arrived…

In the form of a little sugary square made of cream cheese and brownie mix called a Chesscake Brownie. One of the ladies here at the office suprised me with an awesome going away present today. She made a full platter of chesscake brownies, and these things are serious good. It was an awesome suprise even though these things stabbed my inner heathy eating crusader in the face with a sugary claymore of gooey stuff (+5).

For those of you who have never had Chesscake Brownies, it’s basically a close cousin to cheesecake–but better. It’s primarily a southern dessert, and baking a batch is pretty much idiot proof. Like corn bread idiot proof. Recipe inline =).

Crust:
1 yellow or white cake mix
1 stick butter, melted
1 egg

Mix together and press into greased 13×9 pan.

Topping:
1 Box cream cheese
1 Box powdered sugar
2 eggs
3 Tbsp. cocoa

Mix together and pour over topping. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
